Massachusetts Genealogy Resources

Massachusetts is the home of the the Massachusetts Historical Society, New England Historical Society, 2 local National Archives (Pittsfield & Waltham) & several other genealogical vaults that can be appreciated by experts.

Researchers can easily gain access to several early accumulations from 1629-1799, hooked at the Massachusetts Archives resource. From important files to Vital Records for 1841-1910 & Passenger Manifests from 1848-1891, are also searchable at the Archives site.

Be sure to also browse the Commonwealth Communities page that gives out city and county research agencies that may may have kept registered important records from the colonial period, beginning in 1635.
